Sugar Plum Martini

We’ve had visions of Sugar Plum Martinis dancing in our heads. ‘Twas the week before holiday break when all through the house, we were making tea cocktails and dancing about. 

INGREDIENTS

  • For Sugar Plum Martini
  • 2oz vodka
  • 2oz strongly brewed Hibiscus Berry tea
  • 1oz Amaretto
  • ½ lemon, juiced
  • Ice
  • Splash of ginger ale

For Sugared Cranberry Garnish (Optional)

  • ½ cup sugar, divided
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Brew Hibiscus Berry tea with 2oz of hot water. Let cool.

  2. In a saucepan add ¼ cup sugar and ¼ cup water over medium heat. Stir until sugar is dissolved and add cranberries, coating evenly. Drain the cranberries. Pour remaining sugar onto a plate and coat the cranberries in sugar.

  3. In a shaker add the cooled Hibiscus Berry tea, vodka, amaretto, lemon juice, and a handful of ice. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds. Strain into a martini glass and add a splash of ginger ale. Garnish with sugared cranberries.
